Sudath re-elected NEGC President

Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC), one of Sri Lanka’s most historic and prestigious golfing clubs, held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) last weekend with Sudath Kumara being given the greenlight to continue as the President for yet another term.

Kumara was elected President, bringing with him a wealth of experience and commitment to the Clubs continued growth. Assisting him will be National Olympic Committee (NOC) Chairman, Suresh Subramaniam who takes on the role of Vice President. 

Trevine Fernandopulle will be the Immediate Past President.

The Captaincy was awarded to Air Chief Marshal H. Abeywickrama, a highly respected figure within the club’s community while Ananda Jayasekara was elected as Vice-Captain.

Former Trinity cricketer, Austin C. Bartholomeusz and his schoolmate hockey player, Surain Prematilake along with Stephan De Run were elected as committee members. Chathuranga Perera will be the other committee member.
