Sri Lankans down Indians for quarter finals

Sri Lankan girls Dinara de Silva who won the singles title of the SSC-ITF International Junior Week 1 tennis tournament along with Yuhansa Peiris made it to the quarter finals of the Week 2 tournament when they won their second round matches at the SSC tennis courts in Colombo yesterday.

The duo defeated two Indians with Dinara overcoming Bawyasri Asr and Yuhansa prevailing over Ilaiyanila Kannan with the identical winning margin of two sets to nil.

Two Indian girls Sarithra Entoori Aashi Kashyap too made it to the quarter finals by overcoming compatriots Maneni Sathesh and Zoha Qureshi also by two sets to nil.

Girls - Dinara de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Bawyasri Asr (India) 2-0 (6/0, 6/0). Yuhansa Peiris (Sri Lanka) beat Ilaiyanila Kannan (India) 2-0 (6/3, 6/0). Sarithra Entoori (India) beat Maneni Sathesh (India) 2-0 (6/2, 6/4). Aashi Kashyap (India) beat Zoha Qureshi (India) 2-0 (6/2, 6/0)
