Sri Lanka men and women begin Sevens quest

The Sri Lanka men’s rugby Sevens team will open their quest at the Asian championships today with a match against Japan while the women’s team will confront host China in their opening match.

The tournament will reach its knockout stages on the following day.

The second leg of the Asian Sevens is scheduled to take place at the Race Course ground in Colombo in the middle of October on dates yet to be announced.

Women’s matches:
Sri Lanka vs China at 6.52 am
Sri Lanka vs Malaysia at 10.56 am
Sri Lanka vs UAE at 3.18 pm
Men’s matches:
Sri Lanka vs Japan at 9.48 am
Sri Lanka vs Thailand at 1.50 pm
Sri Lanka vs Singapore at 6.14 pm
