Sri Lanka bag Gold at South Asian Youth TT

Sri Lanka clinched the Boys’ Under-19 Team Championship at the fourth South Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships (SAYTTC) 2024, held at the Municipal Council Indoor Stadium in Kandy.   
This was also Sri Lanka’s first Gold Medal at this six-nation tournament which came to a close yesterday.   
Meanwhile, India have already secured three Gold Medals by winning the Under-19 Girls’ title, Under-15 Boys’ and Girls’ Team Championships.   
Sri Lanka emerged as the runners-up in all three events and so far, they have one Gold Medal and three Silver Medals to their credit.   
India of course, did not compete in the Under-19 Boys’ Team Championship. India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka participated in this tournament.
