Sayuri, Nuren, Sanuthi, Lithum tennis champions

Four junior finals, two each in the girls and boys categories of the SLTA Yeti Courts Tennis National Championship 2025 were concluded yesterday at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath, Colombo.

In the two girls events Sayuri Muthuthanthri in the Under 12 and Sanuthi Wong in the Under 14 won their matches with ease by two sets to nil with Sayuri overcoming Taaliya Silva  and Sanuthi getting the  better of Dinethma Ekanayake.

In the two boys’ events Nuren defeated Zacharia Akbar in the Under 14 category and Lithum Jayabandu beat Shenon Anderson in the Under 18 category also by two sets to nil.

Girls Under 12 - Sayuri Muthuthantri beat Taaliya Silva 2-0 (6/2, 6/2)
Boys Under 12 - Nuren Wevita beat Zacharia Akbar 2-0 (6/1, 6/3)
Girls Under 14 - Sanuthi Wong beat Dinethma Ekanayake 2-0 (7/5, 6/1)
Boys Under 18 - Lithum Jayabandu beat Shenon Anderson 2-0 (6/1, 5/1)
