Reshan Algama in fine form

Sri Lanka’s golfing star Reshan Algama produced a brilliant two-under-par round of 71 to lead for the third day running with an impressive gross total of 215 at the Sri Lanka Golf organised National Ranking Tournament at Rajawella yesterday.
Reshan who carded rounds of 71, 73, and 71 over the three days, was in fine form as he blended consistency with flair.
Surging into second place was US-based former Trinitian youngster, Haroon Aslam, who carded a scintillating 4-under 69 on Day 3, the lowest round of the tournament so far.
With a three-day total of 220, Aslam leapfrogged local contender Kumar Danushan, who faltered with a 3-over 76, slipping to third place on 222. Meanwhile Vijitha Bandara ended on 225 securing number 4, Priya Hemantha secured fifth place among the 15 who made the cut.
In the junior event which runs for two days saw Kiyan Niyarepola taking the lead with a score of 80 leading the Boy’s segment while Sithara Lawrence was leading the
Girl’s at 96.
Today will be the final day.
