SL to host six-nation kabaddi tournament

The Sri Lanka Kabaddi Federation (SLKF) is planning to stage a six-nation international invitation kabaddi tournament in April, 2021 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Held under the directives of Sports Minister, Namal Rajapaksa, the participating countries in the tournament are Iran, Bangladesh, South Korea, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Most of the countries have already accepted the invitation to participate.

This tournament was earlier scheduled to be held in November-December this year but was postponed to April because of the health situation in the country. A 30-member National Pool is undergoing residential training at the NYSC in Heiyanthuduwa in preparation for the tournament.
