The Royal College Union Aquatics Club (RCUAC) announced the return of the RCUAC Challenge Shield set for February 7 and 8 at the Royal College Swimming Pool.

Long hailed as one of Sri Lanka’s premier junior water polo tournaments, the fifth edition this year evolves to include swimming, blending intense competition with cherished traditions and community spirit.

The action kicks off with water polo matches featuring teams across age groups from both boys’ and girls’ schools and clubs nationwide. Fixtures and participants will be revealed in due course according to the organisers.

More than 800 swimmers are expected to vie for age-group honours and the prestigious Dr. Jey Gunasegaram Trophy according to the organisers.

Presented by RCOBANA (Royal College Old Boys Association of North America) Board Chairperson Athula Meepe, the trophy immortalises the late Royal College old boy’s lifelong commitment to sport and his alma mater.
