An unbeaten 114 inclusive of 13 boundaries by skipper Rehan Peiris supported by an unbeaten half ton from Jason Fernando helped Sri Lanka U17 to end day one in a strong position against host Bangladesh U17 in the second three-day encounter played at the BSCG ground in Bangladesh.
Peiris associated in two fruitful partnerships first of 70 runs for the second wicket with Hirun Matheesha followed by an unbroken 113 runs for the third wicket with Fernando to help Sri Lanka end the day in a strong position of 183 for 2.
Earlier host Bangladesh U17 taking first lease of the wicket succumbed to the bowling trio of Manitha Rajapakse, Minuga Nethsara and Himaru Deshan who together accounted for nine wickets between them to bundle out the home team for 122 runs. The match will be continued today.
