Police, SL University win State Services hockey titles

Champion Police SC ‘A’ Team

Champion Sri Lanka University Team 

Police SC ‘A’ Team and Sri Lanka University Team clinched the Men’s and Women’s titles respectively at the inaugural State Services Seven-A-Side Hockey Championships conducted by the State Services Sports Club and held at the Colombo 
University Grounds.   
Police SC ‘B’ Team took the runners-up position in the Men’s Tournament while the Education Ministry Team secured the runners-up place in the 
Women’s Tournament.   
(Special Awards): Best Men’s Attacking Player:   Chathuranga Dinesh (Police SC). Best Men’s Defensive Player: Dinuka Weerasinghe (Police SC), Best Women’s Defensive Player: Amila Kapilaratna (Sri Lanka University). Best Women’s Attacking Player: Kaushalya Fernando (Sri Lanka University)
