Pasindu, Lakshan, Shehan put Galle on top

Pasindu Sooriyabandara, Lakshan Edirisinghe and Shehan Fernando shone for Galle against Jaffna on day one of their four-day National Super League (NSL) Cricket Tournament encounter played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo yesterday.
Pasindu and Lakshan made unbeaten half tons with the former associating in two valuable partnerships.
He put on 78 runs for the second wicket with Shehan and added an unbroken 126 runs for the fourth wicket with Lakshan after Shehan shared 78 runs for the second wicket with Sangeeth Cooray. 
Meanwhile, Ahan Wickramasinghe continued his batting form and helped Kandy recover against Dambulla on day one of their NSL match played at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium.
Kandy, electing to take first lease of the wicket fell into deep trouble despite a brief 41-run stand for the second wicket between Sithara Gimhana and Kamil Mishara. 
The separation of the pair saw Kandy losing three quick wickets for the addition of 39 runs with Lakshan Gamage doing the damage before Ahan came to the rescue when he shared 66 for the sixth wicket with Wanuja Sahan.
