Munchee Volleyball Nationals from November 8

The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB) has decided to conduct the Munchee National Volleyball Championship from November 8 to 28.
Earlier, the championship was postponed because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Munchee National Volleyball Championship will be conducted in two categories - Super League and Novices.

The preliminary round of the Super League competition will be conducted on November 8, 9, 10 and 11 followed by the National level tournament on November 14 and 15 while the finals will take place on November 28 at the NYSC Indoor Courts in Maharagama.

Meanwhile, the Novices competition will be worked off from November 8 to 15 and the finals on November 28.

In the previous years, the competitions were held in each District but because of the time constraints the SLVB has decided to conduct the preliminary round at Provincial level.
Meanwhile, the SLVB has decided to stage the preliminary round of the 2020 President’s Gold Cup Volleyball Tournament from October 3 during every weekend. The National level competitions will commence on December 5 and 6 while the finals will take place on December 13 at the NYSC in Maharagama.
