Maliban secures sponsorship of Sri Lanka -Australia U19 Series

Maliban Biscuits has secured the Team and Title sponsor of the Sri Lanka - Australia U19 women’s series scheduled to get underway today at the Rangiri Dambulla Stadium.

Upul Bandara Nawaratne, Head of Marketing, SLC said:  “We are extremely happy to welcome Maliban on board for this all important series which no doubt is going to give a lot of exposure for our young cricketers, and with women’s cricket gaining popularity I am sure the firm will earn the best value out of this partnership not only in Sri Lanka but internationally.”

Milinda Weerasinghe, Group Head of Marketing of Maliban Biscuits stated that it marked a significant moment for Maliban as Sri Lanka women’s cricket has seen a steady progress in recent times.

“We have supported and have been involved with sports at junior level. We are happy to be involved coming forward to encourage the future development of women’s cricket.

There is abundant talent in the outstations who are knocking at the door and we are proud to be involved for the betterment of sports generally and this is the first time we are coming forward to sponsor a major event,” he said.
