MAS supports SL athletes ahead of Asian Meet

Sri Lanka U-18 athletes with officials of MAS Holdings  

The MAS Athlete Training Academy, an initiative of MAS Holdings, has provided sports gear and per diem sponsorships to promising athletes and coaches set to compete at the Asian Under-18 Athletics Championships in Dammam, Saudi Arabia from April 15 to 18
At the ceremony, athletes Shavindu Awishka, Iresh Bogoda, Shanuka Nethmal, Dhananjana Sewmini, Tharushi Pemasiri, Sansala Senevirathna, Sachini Maduhansika, Dilki Nehara and Rehan Perera along with coaches, Anuradha Nanayakkara and Buddika Nuwan received their sports gear and sponsorships from the MAS Athlete Training Academy.
Ruwan Keragala, Chief Operating Officer of MAS Intimates and Director of the MAS Athlete Training Academy, attended the event. In his address, he emphasised MAS Holdings’ commitment to fostering athletic development in Sri Lanka and reaffirmed the company’s ongoing investment in young sports talents.
Suresh Subramaniam, President of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, also addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of corporate support in nurturing the country’s future sporting champions.
Following the sponsorship presentation, Isuru Gunaratne, Director of the MAS Athlete Training Academy, delivered closing remarks, highlighting MAS Holdings’ steadfast dedication to the development of Sri Lankan sports and athletes.
Olympian Sriyani Kulawansa, President of the Sri Lanka Olympians Association, also shared her thoughts, praising the initiative and encouraging the athletes to make the most of the support they had received, drawing from her own experience as an Olympian.
