Lekamge to compete in Javelin heats today

Dilhani Lekamge is scheduled to participate in the Javelin throw (women’s) heat ‘B’ today (August 23) at 11:30 a.m. Sri Lanka time at the IAAF 19th World Athletic Championship (WAC) 2023.   

This tournament will be held from August 19 - 27 in Budapest, Hungary.   

Lekamge, who is the second competitor of the seven-member Sri Lanka team, has a Personal Best of 60.93 metres.   

Middle distance champion Aruna Dharshana finished the 400m men’s heat (2) in 45.70 seconds to clinch sixth place.
