Lanka Cavaliers post 9-wicket victory

Lanka Cavaliers led by veteran Cricketer Wasanthalal Fernando playing an elegant knock of 44 not out supported by Thusitha Karunaratne (25) steered their over 60s team to beat the Colombo Masters by wickets in a Masters T/10 cricket encounter at the Wesley College ground in Colombo. 

Colombo Masters led by Lasantha Perera batting first, reached a total of 804 for 3 thanks to Chryshanth de Silva, Mahendra Attanayake, Imam Deen and Kapila Santhapriya contributing with double figures. 

Skipper Wasanthalal Fernando, Shane Fernando and Kishan Dharmasena captured a wicket each for Lanka Cavaliers. 

In reply, Lanka Cavaliers went past their opponents with five balls to spare.
