Kahatapitiya heads SL Anti-Doping Agency

Dr. Dushan Kahatapitiya assumed duties as the new chairman of the Sri Lanka Anti-Doping Agency yesterday.

The new chairman, Dr. Kahatapitiya holds a PhD in Sports Science from the Myanuel Fajardo International University of Physical, Cultural and Sports Sciences in Cuba and has also worked as an Administrative Manager at the Fernanda Sports Training Center in Quito, Ecuador and has also worked as a member of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Sports Development Programme.

He has also served as an assistant coach for the Cuban youth national boxing team.

He is a medallist at the International YMCA Boxing Championships and a former member of the national boxing team.
