The Saujana Amateur Championship 2025 concluded with thrilling golf performances from a competitive field, highlighting emerging talent across the Asia-Pacific region.
South Korea’s Kim Minsu clinched the championship with a remarkable -7 score, demonstrating top class golf across all three rounds. Kim’s composure under pressure set the benchmark for aspiring golfers in the tournament.
Australia’s Josiah Edwards secured the runner-up position with a commendable -4 score, showing strategic course management and accuracy off the tee. Malaysia’s Aiden Kei Ahmad Shaharuddin rounded out the top three, finishing at -2, emphasizing the growing strength of Malaysian amateur golf on the international stage.
These top three golfers not only displayed skill but also resilience in navigating the challenging Saujana course conditions.
Sri Lanka’s Chanaka Perera made a good effort in finishing tied at +11. Perera’s performance demonstrated good progress and competitiveness against a strong international field. His ability to maintain composure through the rounds highlighted his potential for future professional tours though not ending in the top 10.
Alongside Chanaka, compatriot Kumar Danushan also managed in finishing at +15. Danushan’s performance reflected consistency but a strong field made the tournament more competitive.
