Former champion boxer Bandulasena no more

Former Army and Sri Lanka boxer K.A.D. Bandulasena passed away yesterday after a brief illness. He was 62 at the time of his death.

One of the finest products of the late T.G. Somapala – the legendary St. Mathews College, Dematagoda boxing coach – Bandulasena was a former Feather and Lightweight national champion, being adjudged Best Boxer at the National Championship on one occasion. 

His remains lie at his residence in Rajagiriya.
