Crystal Palace Sports Club of Gampola recorded their first victory of the FFSL Champions League (2025–26) with a convincing 3–0 win over the Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) in a Group ‘A’ match played yesterday.

Substitute player Sinnarasa Askar emerged as the hero of the match, scoring an impressive hat-trick in the 51st, 72nd, and 87th minutes. His outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Match award.

With this result, Crystal Palace SC have now played four matches, securing one win and one draw, and have accumulated four points in the Group ‘A’ standings.

The tournament, organised by the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL), consists of 85 matches and is being conducted at the Race Course Ground in Colombo, running until January 26.

Crystal Palace dominated the contest with little resistance from SLTB. Both teams failed to score in the first half, which ended goalless. SLTB’s defeat marked their fifth consecutive loss in the tournament.
