England’s U-13 XPRO CA beat CCC Maroons

The Under-13 XPRO team from Lancashire, England, made a comfortable 59-run win against Under-13 CCC Maroons in their short tour of Sri Lanka in a friendly 40-over cricket encounter played at CCC grounds, Maitland Crescent, Colombo 7, last Wednesday (16).
The touring XPRO Cricket team from Lancashire, England, batting first, made a total passing the 160-plus mark. The CCC Maroons bowlers Ometh Silva, capturing four wickets; Nikesha Jayawickrama, capturing two wickets; and skipper Thenuka Rathnayake, Damsith Baddage, Thewan Waidyanayake and Raveesha Balasuriya, each capturing a wicket, got the visitors all out in the 38th over.
In reply, the CCC Maroons cricket team saw batters Jayawickrama, Rathnayake, Lindula Kapurubandara, and Chenitha Manage reach double figures at this friendly encounter. The visitors, bowling a tidy line and length, got the CCC Maroons batters all out in the 28th over. (BM)
