Eliza, Annaya, Sandithi, Vinethya enter tennis semis

The SLTA Yeti Courts Tennis National Championship 2025 which is in progress now at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath, Colombo saw Eliza Kahagolla, Annaya Norbert, Sandithi Usgodaarachchi and Vinethya Dharmaratne winning their quarter final matches to book their berths in the women’s Open singles event.

Eliza defeated Lihini Jayakody while Annaya overcame Biyanka Acquistapace and Sandithi got the better of Sayuni Udawatta with the trio winning their matches with ease by two sets to nil.

Vinethya underwent some anxious moment before brushing aside a challenge from Dulkini Ranasinghe by two sets to one.

The semifinals are scheduled to be played tomorrow with Annaya Norbert meeting Eliza Kahagolla and Sandithi Usgodaarachchi clashing against Vinethya Dharmaratne.

Women’s Singles Quarter Finals 
Eiza Kahagolla beat Lihini Jayakody 2-0 (6/3, 6/0). Annaya Norbert beat Biyanka Acquistapace 2-0 (6/0, 6/0). Sandithi Usgodaarachchi beat Sayuni Udawatta 2-0 (6/2, 6/1). Vinethya Dharmaratne beat Dulkini Ranasinghe 2-1 (2/6, 7/6, 6/4)
