Dominant Dharmaraja bags badminton title

Dharmaraja College emerged champions of the All-Island Inter-School Badminton Super ‘A’ Division Team Championship.

The tournament, organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Badminton Association, was held at the indoor stadium of St. Thomas’ College, Bandarawela.

In the final, Dharmaraja defeated St. Joseph’s College, Maradana with a score of 3–2 to secure the championship title.
This victory marks a historic achievement for the Dharmaraja team, as they claimed the Under-17 Super ‘A’ Division Championship after a lapse of 22 years.

During the group stage, Dharmaraja dominated their opponents, defeating Bandarawela Central College (5–0), St. Benedict’s College (5–0), Nalanda College (4–1) and Royal College Colombo (5–0).

In the Super ‘A’ semi-final, they faced St. Sebastian’s College, Moratuwa and secured a thrilling 3–2 win to advance to the final.

In the championship match against St. Joseph’s College Colombo, Dharmaraja delivered a strong performance to seal the title.
