Dhanushan claims top spot

Kumar Dhanushan claimed the top spot on the second day of the Sri Lanka Golf Ranking Tournament worked off at the Victoria Golf Resort yesterday. 

Danushan followed up his opening 76 with a steady 75 to post a two-day total of 151, taking a slender one-shot lead into the final round.

Jeewantha Wijenayake is breathing down his neck in second place after carding consistent rounds of 76 and 76 for a total of 152. His composed approach and steadiness kept him firmly in contention in what is shaping up to be a tight finish.

Reshan Algama slipped to third despite leading on the first day. A second round 79 saw him add to his opening 75 for an aggregate of 154, leaving him three shots off the pace heading into the decisive final day.

Only the top 19 will tee off today.

In the women’s event Sadamali Sumanaratne leads with a total of 181.

In the junior events Hiruka Thathsara leads with 80 while in the girls’ segment Sithara Lawrence is on 87 on the initial day leading the way.
