Chanaka and Danushan to tee off in Malaysia

Veteran golfer Chanaka Perera and youngster Kumar Danushan will tee off at the 121st Malaysian Amateur Open 2025, which will take place from November 20-23 at the Permaipura Golf and Country Club in Bedong, Kedah Darul Aman, Malaysia. 

This historic event continues to attract top amateur golfers from across the region, offering four days of high-calibre competition in a picturesque setting.

The tournament will be contested over 72 holes of stroke play, with the field being cut after 36 holes to determine the top performers who will advance to the final two rounds. With a demanding layout and challenging greens, the Permaipura course is expected to test every aspect of the players’ skills, rewarding precision, course management, and consistency.

Their participation not only highlights Sri Lanka’s growing presence in regional golf but also provides valuable exposure as they compete against the best amateur golfers in Asia.
