The CH and FC will be all out to continue their winning streak when they confront debutants Sri Lions SC in their Inter-Club Rugby Tournament Plate segment match at Ratmalana on February 21. The kick-off is at 4.00 p.m.
The CH and FC produced some outstanding running ruby in their last game against Navy SC at Welisara. They beat the Sailors by 50 plus scores twice in the first and Super Round encounters.
CH and FC, though missed out on a top four end to feature in the Cup segment, are all out to put up a brave effort in their last three games. They have some outstanding players in their rank such as Deshan Vimukthi, Charith Silva, Nirosh Perera, Devinda Rathnayake, Roshan Kumara, Pasindu Bandara and Skipper Janidu Dilshan.
Coached by the most experienced Sanath Martis, they are favoured to pull it off though they were shocked by Sri Lions SC in the first round.
Meanwhile, Sri Lions SC are hit with injury worries with nearly six of them out of action in this game as well. Skipper Kevin Dixon will be returning to lead the side after missing many games.
Dushmantha Priyadarshana, Abdulla Faizer, Ranithu Ridmal, Dilshan Madushanka and Aiden Fernando will miss out on this encounter due to injuries.
Although Sri Lions SC pulled off their maiden win in top division rugby against the CH and FC, this game will be a close encounter with CH holding a slight edge.
