CCC and Bloomfield make it to the final

CCC and Bloomfield made it to the final of the Under 23 Emerging Club two day cricket tournament by recording first inning wins against Nugegoda S&WC and Negombo CC in the two semi-final encounters at the SSC and NCC grounds.

Rain hampered both matches on day one with only 26 overs of play being possible in the match between CCC and Nugegoda. CCC resuming from their overnight score of 123 for 6 went on to make 179 and then bowled out Nugegoda for a score of 143.

Negombo CC resuming from their overnight score of 39 for 2 was bowled out for 116 and the match was stopped after Bloomfield in their turn having surpassed their opponents score having made 147 for 5.
