Buvindu, Ashlin bag championship honours

Buvindu Jayawardena and Ashlin de Silva became the Singles champions of the SLTA Yeti Courts Tennis National Championship 2025 in the boys Under 14 and Under 16 age groups when they came out on top in the two finals played at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath in Colombo yesterday.
The duo recorded easy two sets to nil wins with Buvindu overcoming Nuren Wevita and Ashlin getting the better of Mayooran Khubheran.
Four semifinals were worked off concurrently which were the girls’ Under 16 in which Annaya Norbert and Sandithi Usgodaarachci made it to the final defeating Akesha Silva and Buvindi Imihami.
In the boys’ Under 18 Shennon Anderson and Lithum Jayabandu came out on top with wins against Ranida Ranaweera and Kavin Fernando to book berths in the final.
