Italian club AC Milan returned to Sri Lanka for the second edition of its AC Milan Junior Camp hosted in partnership with the Colombo Athletic & Football Academy.
The Camp commenced on Monday and will end on Saturday for boys and girls within the ages of 6 and 17 providing what is said to be world-class football training under certified AC Milan coaches.
According to officials, it marks the third major youth football exposure programme in nine months, highlighting a structured, long-term collaboration aimed at developing Sri Lankan talent focusing on technical skills, physical conditioning and mental well-being, following AC Milan’s holistic training methodology.
Ajai Vir Singh, President of Colombo Athletic & Football Club, said the initiative introduces a systematic approach to sports education, covering nutrition, strength training and mental health, giving young players a platform to reach their potential.
Supporting the camp, Cinnamon Grand Colombo continues as the official hospitality partner, while brands including Prima, Omega Line, Powertech Cement, Servo, Sozo, and 3M/Mobil provide sponsorship and scholarships for aspiring players according to organisers.
