Bangladesh Crushes Nepal 4-0 in SAFF U-17 Boys Group ’A’ Match

Bangladesh secured a commanding 4-0 victory over Nepal in a Group ‘A’ match of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Cup Under-17 Boys Tournament 2025, held at the Race Course Grounds in Colombo yesterday.

At the end of the first half, Bangladesh led 1-0, thanks to an early strike by Sabbir Islam in the 30th minute. The second half saw Bangladesh dominate even further, adding three more goals to seal the win in style. Opus Rahman scored in the 48th minute, followed by Mohammed Arif in the 50th minute, and Mohammad Manik in the 67th minute to complete 
the rout.

The SAFF U-17 Boys Tournament, featuring seven South Asian nations, will continue until September 27 at the Colombo. 

With this result, both Nepal and Bangladesh now have one win each in the group stage. Sri Lanka, having lost their opening match, must secure a big-margin victory against Bangladesh in the upcoming September 21 clash to have a chance of qualifying for the semifinls.
