Australia’s Jamie Siddons to coach Sri Lanka women

Former Australia cricketer Jamie Siddons has been enlisted as the new head coach of the Sri Lanka women’s team.
His contract will be for one year starting on March 16 and his first task will be with the Sri Lanka team on a tour of Bangladesh in April before the Women’s T20 World Cup in England starting in June.
Siddons has served as the head coach of the Bangladesh men’s team from 2007 to 2011 and is a Level Three qualified coach.
He has also served as head coach of the South Australia team Redbacks from 2015 to 2020 and head coach of the Wellington Firebirds.
Siddons had an extensive first-class cricket career in Australia and captained both South Australia and Victoria.
