Ashlin, Mayooran book berths in final

Ashlin Silva and Mayooran Kubheran booked the two final berths of the ATF U16 C2 Week I when they came out victorious in the two semifinal encounters played at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.
The two winners had little difficulty in brushing off the challenges of their opponents with Ashlin overcoming Andrew Wijemanne and Mayooran defeating Nevan Kannangara by the identical winning margins of two sets to nil.
Ashlin and Mayooran paired together to clinch the doubles title which was played in the morning. But they were made to fight hard for their win by another Sri Lankan pair Bhishman Balaratnaraja and Naqeed Hussain before coming out on top by two sets to one.
The singles final between Ashlin and Mayooran is slotted to be played today morning and a win for either will see them bagging a double of titles.

Mayooran Kubheran and Ashlin de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Bhishman Balaratnaraja and Naqeed Hussain (Sri Lanka) 2-1 (3/6, 6/2, 10/0)
