Anjalika brings out old charm

Anjalika Kurera and Yashitha de Silva both representing MAS Holdings came out victorious as they bagged the Mercantile Tennis Tournament 2025 singles titles finishing on top in the finals played at the SLTA tennis courts at Greenpath, Colombo.
Anjalika defeated her team mate Tarha Greig with a comfortable two sets to nil win while Yasitha was made to work hard for his win by Sanka Athukorala of Lanka Minerals and Chemical before scraping through a hard fought two sets to one victory.
Yasitha went on to bag Double titles when he partnered Mark Seneviratne as the pair got the better of the Aitken Spence pair of Srinath Udayachandran and Thivenda Piyadagama in the final by two sets to nil.

Women’s - Anjalika Kurera (MAS Holdings) beat Tarha Greig (MAS Holdings) 2-0 (4/0, 4/1).
Men’s - Yashitha de Silva (MAS Holding) beat Sanka Athukarala (Lanka Minerals & Chemical) 2-1 (6/3, 3/6, 10/8).

Doubles final:
Men’s - Yashita de Silva/Mark Senevirathne (MAS Holdings) beat Srinath Udayachandran/Thivenda Piyadagama (Aitken Spence) 2-0 (6/1, 6/2)
