96 cueists at Open Ranking Snooker

The top cueists of Sri Lanka representing clubs from the districts of Colombo, Kandy, Galle and Ratnapura got down to business in the Open Ranking Snooker Championship 2025 vying for the AAC President’s Challenge Trophy.

The championship is conducted by the Billiards and Snooker Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) and sponsored by Automobile Association of Ceylon (AAC) who are celebrating their 121st anniversary. The championship is being contested by a record 96 cueists and is being played in two venues with the preliminary round matches conducted at the BASL billiard table in Colombo which is scheduled to end on November 27.

From the pre-quarter finals onwards the matches are scheduled to be played at the AAC billiards parlor in Colombo from November 28 and the grand finale is slotted to be played on November 30 at the same venue.
