Senuja Wakunugoda of St. Joseph’s plays a shot

Senuja Wakunugoda and Yenula Dewthusa associated in an unbroken 79-run for the fourth wicket for St Joseph’s College as they ended day two of the 91st Battle of the Saints Inter-School Big Match with a bold reply of 150 for three in their encounter against traditional rivals St. Peter’s College played at the SSC Grounds in Maitland Place yesterday.

Earlier, in the day St. Peter’s, resuming from their overnight score of 176 for seven, helped by a knock of 58 by Lashmika Perera, went on to make a score of 243 runs.

The match is heading for an inevitable draw with the final day’s play scheduled to get underway at 9.45 a.m. today.
