3rd Youth ODI Sri Lanka U19 crush West Indies U19 to take 2-1 lead

Sri Lanka Under-19 took a 2-1 lead in the seven-match Youth ODI over hosts West Indies with a crushing eight-wicket win in the third match played at Coolidge.

The foundation for the win was laid by spin duo Vigneshwaran Akash and Chamika Heenatigala who shared eight wickets between them to bundle out the Windies for a meagre 138.

Sri Lanka in their run chase lost two wickets with the score on 49 in the eighth over before Viran Chamuditha slammed an unbeaten 64 in 70 balls with ten boundaries and Kavija Gamage chipped in with 28 during an unbroken 90-run stand to help the tourists race to the target with in the 22nd over.

The two teams will play their fourth match on Sunday at the same venue.
