Dhammissara National School, Naththandiya—one of the most dominant forces in Sri Lanka’s schools volleyball arena for more than two decades—continued its remarkable legacy by securing two age-group championship titles at the 23rd DSI Supersports Inter-Schools Volleyball Championship 2025, concluded at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo.

The tournament, jointly organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Volleyball Association, the Ministry of Education, and the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, was conducted across five age categories for both boys and girls, attracting participation from 6000 athletes from school teams nationwide.

Dhammissara’s young volleyball stars shone brightly once again, winning both the Under 11 Girls and Under 13 Girls championship titles in dominant fashion.

In the Under 11 Girls Final, Dhammissara defeated Dukkanawa Junior School, Naththandiya, convincingly 2–0 (15–8, 15–13).

In the Under 13 Girls Final, they produced another polished performance to overcome Wickramashila National School, Giriulla 2–0 (21–16, 21–16), securing the second title of the day.

Meanwhile, in the Under 15 Girls Final, President’s College, Naththandiya, outplayed Mabima Vidyakara MV in straight sets 3–0 (25–17, 28–26, 25–20) to clinch the crown.

In the Under 15 Boys Final, St. Mary’s College, Chilaw, cruised to a comfortable 3–0 victory (25–9, 25–7, 25–12) over Dharmapala MMV, Eheliyagoda, claiming the boys’ championship.
