On a rain hampered day one, in which only 64.4 overs of play were possible, St. Thomas’ College, Matara were able to restrict St. Servatius’ College to 169 in their first innings in the 125th Battle of the Blues Ruhuna played at Matara yesterday.

The Thomian Skipper Pesandu Sanjan was the star of the day capturing three wickets and figuring in two run outs. 
Raveen Kavintha topped the Servatian scoreard with an unbeaten 39 while Chamod Mihiranga and Risinu Kithnuka posted twenty plus scores.

Play was called off at around 5.20 p.m. due to rain.
