What is Mass-oke? It’s the question on everyone’s lips — and the answer is pure, electrifying fun. Echo Vibes Mass-oke is not your average night out. It’s a high-energy, mass karaoke experience where the audience becomes the star of the show. Backed by a live band and led by dynamic hosts, hundreds of voices unite as giant screens light up with lyrics — transforming the crowd into one unforgettable chorus. Fresh off the success of last year’s Echo Vibes, R&R Entertainment’s Roy Piyaratne set out to create something bold and entirely new for local audiences. He joined forces with Creative Director Aida Mansoor, and the idea for Echo Vibes Mass-oke was born.

Based in London, Aida drew inspiration from the city’s hugely popular Massaoke events, bringing with her first-hand experience of their infectious energy and crowd-driven atmosphere. She describes them as “unforgettable, high-energy experiences where entire crowds sing in unison, united by nostalgia and pure joy. Strangers become best friends as they belt out their favourite songs together, swept up in the transformative power of music.”

Inspired by this global phenomenon, R&R Entertainment aims to recreate that same sense of connection, excitement, and shared celebration — introducing Sri Lankan audiences to an immersive live music event unlike anything they’ve experienced before. “Echo Vibes Mass-oke is about bringing people together through music and collective energy,” said Roy Piyaratne. “We want to create an atmosphere where everyone in the room feels connected and part of something truly memorable.”

Now, for the first time, R&R Entertainment brings this worldwide musical sensation to Colombo. Joining the experience are the fantastic band OIC and dynamic vocalists Greg and Dina, who will lead audiences through crowd-favourite anthems throughout the night. Keeping the energy soaring between crowd singalong moments will be Colombo’s legendary DJ Bonnie, whose electrifying sets promise to transform the venue into a pulsating dance floor packed with powerhouse hits and crowd favourites. Whether you’re singing at the top of your lungs or dancing the night away, Echo Vibes Mass-oke promises the ultimate live music experience.

Meet the Hosts Bringing the Vibes

Leading the charge are two powerhouse performers chosen for their charisma, talent, and infectious energy.

Greg Pallegama — a familiar face on Colombo’s live music scene — takes centre stage alongside his band OIC. Renowned for his smooth vocals, magnetic personality, and commanding presence, Greg is a regular performer at leading venues including Jazzebel, Sunset Blu, and Gatz. His trademark charisma and high-energy performances are guaranteed to keep the crowd buzzing all night long.

Joining him as co-host is Dina Phillips, a dynamic vocalist whose powerhouse voice and vibrant personality make her a natural crowd energiser. Drawing on her experience as a radio presenter and live performer, she brings a warm, engaging presence that effortlessly draws audiences in and keeps them singing along from start to finish.

Taking place on Friday, 7 August 2026, at the elegant King’s Court Ballroom, Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, Echo Vibes Mass-oke promises a night of music, connection, and pure adrenaline. Producers Roy Piyaratne and Rizvan Musafer are set to deliver a high-production spectacle featuring innovative staging, advanced lighting design, and state-of-the-art pyrotechnics — creating a one-of-a-kind immersive music and visual spectacle for Colombo audiences.
