A Green party group has reportedly ‘bought’ a political party which has already been registered. The party’s symbol is said to be an object used as a religious offering, they say.

The names of the party’s office-bearers are to be replaced with new ones. They had decided to ‘buy’ a party already in existence due to the legal impediment to registering a new party political when a poll has already been announced. A ‘doctor’ in the Green party has taken the initiative to ‘buy’ the political party. The office-bearers of the acquired political party are said to be top men in the Green party. The party with the new office-bearers is due to start functioning behind the scene shortly. “People will get a shock when the names of the office-bearers of the party are revealed”, an election commission source said.
