Aggressive electioneering by a Diyawanna hopeful

A young man is said to be cruising around his district with security escorts despite being yet to go before the selection board to seek   nomination to contest the upcoming general polls.

His father, a former politico, is an owner of several five-star hotels, they say.

The rich son, currently on a whistle-stop election campaign is said to be liberal with bundles of ‘peacock’ notes, he often carries with him. 

This person’s conduct these days conveys the feeling that he is staging a drama of sorts, some people say.
