Sri Lanka Telecom PLC CEO Janaka Abeysinghe and EGUARDIAN CEO Mafaz Fahrid exchange the signed agreement

Recognising that security threats are complex, ever-evolving and heavily on the rise globally, SLT-Mobitel Enterprise has expanded its partnership with Fortinet, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, providing multifunctional and comprehensive protection through next-generation artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled managed firewall services for enterprise and government customers.

The Fortinet Pay-As-You-Grow model is offered locally in Sri Lanka by the dynamic value-added distributor EGUARDIAN.  The collaboration was marked by a formal agreement signed by SLT Chief Executive Officer Janaka Abeysinghe and EGUARDIAN Chief Executive Officer Mafaz Fahrid, with representatives from both organisations present at the event.

The solutions are provided as a service and depending on the features requested, SLT-Mobitel Enterprise will enable the services based on a customer’s requirements. Thereby, customers are geared towards any advanced threat protection tailored to modern attack techniques while simplifying their operations, boosting efficiency and integrating with the broader security ecosystem, giving enterprises stronger, more adaptive security.

The partnership offers a host of benefits for customers through the next-generation AI-enabled managed firewall service, such as ensuring a comprehensive and layered defence strategy against cyber threats and safeguarding critical assets and sensitive information. Importantly, in today’s threat landscape, organisations face the growing menace of zero-day attacks – sophisticated threats that occur suddenly and exploit previously unknown vulnerabilities. However, next-generation AI-enabled managed firewalls provide a critical line of defence.

With SLT-Mobitel Enterprise, clients have the benefit of upgrading themselves to the enhanced threat intelligence, automation and adaptive learning capabilities of next-generation AI firewall solutions, which significantly improve the chances of detecting and stopping unknown zero-day threats. Furthermore, the service also protects against malware, ransomware and other sophisticated attacks that can potentially disrupt operations and compromise data integrity.

Fahrid commented, “We are thrilled to partner with SLT-Mobitel Enterprise in introducing the FortiFlex programme, a testament to our shared vision of delivering exceptional security solutions to our valued customers. This collaboration enables us to provide unparalleled flexibility in licensing options, simplifying onboarding and embracing usage-based licensing across cloud, hybrid cloud and on-premises deployments. By joining forces, we empower customers to effortlessly access the cybersecurity solutions they need, aligning with SLT-Mobitel’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge services that protect critical assets and drive digital transformation. Together, we are dedicated to shaping a secure future and supporting our customers’ strategic objectives in today’s rapidly evolving landscape.”

“SLT-Mobitel Enterprise is delighted to join forces with Fortinet as we aim to deliver advanced and scalable cybersecurity solutions to our valued customers,” stated Abeysinghe.

“This partnership signifies our commitment to empowering businesses with innovative technologies that address their unique security requirements. The pay-as-you-grow model ensures that our customers can seamlessly adapt their network security infrastructure to meet evolving threats and operational demands.”
