Young woman in Spa and three others arrested for murder

An individual who had obtained the services of a Spa in  Anuradhapura area video recorded the scenes of his sexual encounters with a  young woman employed there, and earned money by hiring her for  prostitution under threat of sharing the nude footage on websites had been  killed by the young woman with the help of three young men.   
The three young men involved in the killing were 26,  28, and 36 years of age and residents of Nattandiya, Eppawala and  Kirindiwela areas.   
The victim Dharmadasage Ashan Buddhika (35), father of two children, was a resident of Kalikkada in Medawachchiya.   
Anuradhapura Crime Investigation Unit which initiated  investigations of a complaint received from the victim’s wife that her  husband who left for Medawachchiya to appear in court in connection with  a case did not return home, arrested the young woman and later the  other three suspects.   
 Investigations revealed that the young woman had fallen in  love with a 36-year-old man from Nattandiya who sought her services at  the spa and told him that an individual who had taken her nude photos  secretly was instigating her to engage in prostitution under threat to  share the nude photos on websites.   
He with three friends had planned to destroy the woman’s  troublemaker and tactfully taken him to Medawachchiya by motorcar and consumed liquor together. When the victim was semi-unconscious by drinking  excessively, had assaulted him to death with a bottle. Later they had  taken the body to Dunumadalawa Forest Reserve and burnt it.   
During investigations, the police recovered the burnt skeletal remains of the body.   
The suspects were to be produced before Anuradhapura Magistrate yesterday.   
A police team under OIC Crime Investigation Unit CI Nuwan  Wickeremasinghe is conducting further investigations on the instructions  of SSP Thilina Hewa Pathirana.
