One killed, 5 injured in Pt. Pedro clash

At least one person was killed and five seriously injured following a clash between two groups in Point- Pedro, Jaffna yesterday.   

The injured were admitted to the Point Pedro district hospital and transferred in a critical condition to the Jaffna teaching hospital.  Investigations revealed that an altercation ensued between the two parties over a cash transaction leading to the clash using sharp weapons. One of those who received stab injuries died on admission to hospital. The deceased M. Koshkan (38) was a resident of Alvai North in Point Pedro.
