Kelaniya University lecturer’s wife too succumbs to injuries

The death toll in the fatal accident at Meerigama on the Central Express Way on March 18, increased to three with the death of Senior Lecturer of Kelaniya University Dr. Gunendra Gayantha’s wife Sathisha Gayanta in the early hours of last morning at the Colombo National Hospital.   

Dr. Gayantha and one of his relatives had died earlier while his wife and three children who received injuries had been under treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.   

 They had met with accident on their way back after a visit to Jaffna.   

 Police said the postmortem examination of the deceased lady was to be held yesterday at the National Hospital.   
 Central Expressway Traffic Police are conducting investigations.
