JITRCS and HelpAge Sri Lanka unite for life-changing initiative

Just In Time Resourcing & Consultancy Services (JITRCS) recently partnered with HelpAge Sri Lanka’s ‘Gift of Sight’ initiative to fund cataract surgeries for underprivileged elderly individuals. 

For over four decades, HelpAge Sri Lanka has been at the forefront of elderly care, performing more than 47,000 free cataract surgeries and reaching underserved communities. Beyond vision care, the organization provides free medical camps, livelihood development programs, and elder day care centers, offering a holistic approach to elderly well-being.

Tirantha Mahapatuna – Head of Business Development of JITRCS said, “The loss of sight is not just a medical condition—it’s a loss of independence, confidence, and connection to the world. At JITRCS, we recognize the responsibility we have as a corporate entity to support the communities around us. 

Our partnership with HelpAge Sri Lanka’s ‘Gift of Sight’ initiative is a reflection of that commitment. By restoring vision, these senior citizens who would otherwise be limited and dependent are now experiencing —freedom, dignity, and a renewed sense of purpose. We hope this initiative serves as a reminder that businesses have the power to create meaningful change beyond the workplace.”
