High-budget film ‘Guru Geethaya’ passes 60th day of screening

The high-budget film ‘Guru Geethaya’ currently being screened very successfully countrywide passed its 60th day of screening at a special ceremony held at the National Film Corporation last week, with a distinguished audience from both arts and political fields.

Producer of the film cum Chairman Democratic Party Dr. Arosha Fernando welcomed the leader of the National Freedom Front Wimal Weerawansa as the Chief Guest and thanked him for his continued support throughout the making of the film.

The film has set a world record being the first movie to shoot at the highest altitude in the world and most parts had been shot on the harsh terrains of Nepal, Russia and India. It has received the highest number of International Awards so far and is currently being screened in many overseas locations, including Italy.
