6.2 kilos Kerala ganja smuggled in from India

• SL Navy seized the stock during a search operation in Urumalai beach in Mannar
• The trade valued of the stock could have been about Rs.30 million

A stock of 6.280kilos of Kerala Ganja smuggled from India by sea was seized by the Sri Lanka Navy during a search operation in Urumalai beach in Mannar.   

A senior official of the Navy said the racketeers would have left the stock of contraband in the beach and fled when they noticed the navy. He said the trade valued of the stock could have been about Rs.30 million.   

 He said the stock of Ganja would be handed over to the police for further action.
