Siam Daham Pada Yathra 2025 Foot Pilgrimage from Kataragama to Ahangama

A group of Buddhist monks arrived in the country on Saturday (June 7) to conduct a foot pilgrimage (Pada Yathra) in view of Poson full moon day. The Pada Yathra would commence from Kirivehera, Kataragama and continue on consecutive days as follows:

Day 1 – Kirivehera to Kohombagahapelessa Subodharamaya

Day 2 - Kohombagahapelessa Subodharamaya to Weerawila Abhinawaramaya

Day 3 – Weerawila Abhinawaramaya to Hambantota Nimbharamaya

Day 4 – Hambantota Nimbharamaya to Ambalantota Rangiri Viharaya

Day 5 – Ambalantota Rangiri Viharaya to Ranna Kahadawa Purana Viharaya

Day 6 – Ranna Kahadawa Purana Viharaya to Tangalle Ceylon Sea Rest
Day 7 – Tangalle Ceylon Sea Rest to Wewrukannala Budu Rajavehera

Day 8 – Wewrukannala Budu Rajavehera to Veherahena Poorwarama Rajamaha Viharaya

Day 9 – Veherahena Poorwarama Rajamaha Viharaya to Kamburugamuwa Devagiri Pirivena

Day 10 – Kamburugamuwa Devagiri Pirivena to Ahangama Jayasumanaramaya

Devotees are invited to offer alms and participate in this blessed occasion, taking place in view of Poson Full Moon Poya Day.
