New SriLankan High Commissioner in Australia welcomed with Open Arms

The Federation of Sri Lankan Organisations in Queensland, Australia, organised a reception to welcome the newly appointed High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in Australia, Yasoja Gunasekara, on August 2, at the Walkway to Ceylon Hotel in Brisbane.

The picture shows Dr Nimal Sedera, who has initiated the Sinhala poetry publishing for the Sri Lankan community, presenting four copies of the past four years’ publications to the High Commissioner with a key member of the mission, Dr Kumara Dissansyake. The fifth issue is due in September this year.
